Machine Escofier M6

Escofier is a French company founded in 1924 by Louis Escofier.

In 1945, Escofier delivered its first rolling machine to Renault.

Then, in 1963, the company moved to Chalon-sur-Saône.

In 1965, Escofier revolutionised the rolling industry with the integration of a symmetrical mechanism into its machines.

In 1978 Escofier Technologie became a subsidiary of the Vallourec group.

In 1981, Escofier created the specialised Incremental® process for rolling splines.

The company also acquired MEX in 1990.

Escofier developed roller burnishing with its first customer, Ford, in 1999.

The first robotisation of a rolling machine in 2000.

Escofier became an independent company in 2006.

In 2006, Escofier launched the FLEX range of machines.

Escofier joined the Galilé Group in 2009.

In 2011, Escofier created the JV MTE Forming Technologies Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad (India).

In 2012, Escofier created the “Green line” range of fully electric machines.

In 2020, Escofier introduced IoT technology into its machines to optimise production efficiency and quality in the factory of the future. Industry 4.0 is a key element of our development strategy, in line with our spirit of innovation.

This initiative is part of a collaboration with the Fondation Galilé aimed at pushing the limits of artificial intelligence in industry.

In 2021, Escofier has adopted a new global organisation focused 100% on the needs of its customers.

In 2022, Escofier joined EVOLIS, the machine tool trade association, and its director became the French delegate for CECIMO (the European machine tool association).
